Lower back pain can be debilitating. If you suffer from lower back pain it can sometimes feel like nothing will actually help give relief. Because lower back pain is such a common struggle for so many people, there’s been a lot of research and experimenting done on what can help give some relief. There are a few great and simple exercises for lower back pain that are said to help significantly.

Crunches
Crunches done while laying down on the ground with your knees bent, have been found to be one of the best exercises for lower back pain. Crunches done in this way help to build strength in the core area, helping to build strength without causing further pain in the lower back.

Wall Sits
Wall sits, done where you’re up against a wall and bend your knees until you’re at about a 90-degree angle, are said to be another great lower back exercise. Similar to crunches, this exercise helps to build core strength without giving more pain to the back area.

Hamstring Stretches
Hamstring stretches are said to be one of the best stretch exercises for lower back pain. To do this the best way, you lay on the ground bending one leg and keeping the other leg straight. The leg that’s straight, should have a towel or band wrapped around the bottom of the foot for you to hold and use to gently pull the straight leg towards you. This helps to give a lot of stretching to the lower back and leg area that tend to be tight from lower back pain.
